No. Hart is a different sort of player - more physical, better rebounder. He should learn how to shoot off screens like Bullock does, that is true. |

Sorry to see Svi go as he likely will be a solid rotation player soon but very good trade for both sides.
I agree that these are the types of trades that are needed and that they should avoid mortgaging the future at all costs. AD is great but at what cost if you can't build a team going forward?
IMO, Zubac, Bonga and the 2019 FRP are assets that also really should be moved right now as they would be needed to be cleared anyway if the goal is a full vet maximum FA slot (which it should be).
If they don't freak out, 145 days from now the Lakers would be working with:
1) Lebron and probably a new coach
2) Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma, Hart, Wagner ($22M in very tradable contracts)
3) Roughly 38M in unrestricted FA salary cap space (assuming $108M limit)
At the very least, that is a dream scenario financially every GM would love to have and you don't necessarily have to trade any of the kids at all if they improve/get healthy.... |

Since everyone has been waiting and dying to know what I think about this trade
I give it a B. Its a strong trade in our favor, we need shooting on a cheap contract and this does that, its not a blockbuster deal but a good one none the less.
Plus I've never been a big believer in second round picks, they are almost always a dud |

Has this guy improved much since he was with the Clippers? It was only the very beginning of his career but when he played with CP3, Blake, etc. he seemed irrelevant on that team. |

Perfect fit for LeBron ball given where he excels at in advanced stats. LBJ going to make Reggie B a lot of $$$ this offseason. |

Bulluck and Ariza were the true targets all along, sweet smokescreen using Anthony Davis!

Svi doesn't even qualify as an ex. Closer to a random spring break hookup. |

Exactly and folks think our asset management Ls strictly came at the hands of a rumored “absentee exec”.
Tell me this, if dude was barely in the office, who’s the wise guy that brought the offer of Bullock (cap hold of 4.5m to 2019 free agency cap sheet to retain him) for Svi (1.4m salary placeholder on 2019 free agency cap sheet) to Magic’s desk?
Who’s the wise guy that brought the offer of Moe/Bonga/JJ/2022 2nd for the Wiz to trade cash to....the Pels, to Rob’s desk?
Some of you act like we’re out of the woods when Magic quit....nope!
#DifferentFOsameMO
I love you Jeanie, but maybe we can spice it up by bringing in a 3rd that’s not in house. Rob Lowe is dreamy and all, but we need another side chick that know cap.

It would be interesting to see how Svi would have done on this team. After watching him in Summer League, I thought he had skill. I thought he had some smarts and could play defense.
Then when I saw him play in the regular season for us, I saw that his defense was not up to par and his shot wasn't as money as I thought. He just was not ready. When comparing the numbers Reggie's stint on the Lakers was much better than Svi's stint:
19 G 27.6 MPG .523 efg
39 G 10.8 MPG .436 efg
Now this year, Svi gets to play in a loosey goosey offense on a team without expectations. And he's putting up good numbers. Would that have been the case on the Lakers?
In hindsight, knowing that we missed the playoffs, I'd definitely take Svi + the pick. But at the time, I thought it was debatable. |
