Maybe they fired him after blowing out the Lakers because they anticipate Luke getting fired, and there is a coach they want to snag before the Lakers can.

he was a terrible hire in my opinion...he has proved to a be a man unable or unwilling to change or adjust his ways.....even when they are not working.

There's already a rumor they want to bring Hoiberg back. I know he has history with them but he didn't do to well with the young team that just recently fired him.
I expected Thibs to get canned after that whole Jimmy fiasco and they're underwhelming start. I'm just surprised it took this long. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant
yeah he still has value as a defensive assistant where the head coach can keep him from going too far. But obviously after being a GM/coach combo theres no way he will go demote himself that far _________________ (bleep) Kawhi

Would he though? The clutching and fouling type of defense the Celtics played would be whistled into oblivion these days. Not sure of the answer but did the Wolves defense move even an inch with Thibs at the helm? _________________ KOBE

Yeah, he is going by reputation after the last couple of years if anyone wants him here.. I personally do not want him anywhere remotely close to the Lakers bench.. Our defense has been solid to great, especially when considering all the injuries to key players we have had to deal with constantly all year. I actually think we need more help offensively and with the simple offensive fundamentals of the game then we need any help on the defensive side.
Just imagine what they would have done to him, had the Lakers won? _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”
