No, he didn't. Read up about the houses that Lebron bought in LA before Magic was even president of Lakers. Then look at everything Lebron is doing with his entertainment business after coming here. Lebron is a very smart businessman. He's already planning and thinking about his post NBA career long before it's over. He's gonna be a billionaire just like MJ. |
Stop. He got Brawn. Any way you slice it. Brawn didn't go up to YOUR house to talk with you before signing that contract. He went to Magic's. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

Same old song:
Missed free throws, turnovers.

Why single out Ingram?
The core played okay... but they didn't get any bench help until the game was over.
I don't like the way they deferred to Lance at the end.
Lance was playing okay... but the kids need to learn to do this by themselves. |
Because Earvin Magic Johnson singled Ingram out as, essentially, our 2nd best player and for two games in a row our 2nd best player hasn't controlled the game. |
Ingram is perhaps the most well rounded of the kids... but Kuzma's the best scorer.
He puts up more shots... and he shot 9 more tonight.
Yet somehow Ingram is painted on Lakersground as a selfish ball hog.
No one thinks Ingram's the second best scorer at this stage...
It's Kuzma but he's really sh*t the bed this year from long range. |
You're kidding, right? |
He's actually the most angular person on the team. Moves like a daddy-longlegs and is as whispy and frail as one. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

Why didn't Wagner or Svi get any minutes in this game, were they injured? |

Jokes aside, how the hell can ANYONE call Ingram the most well rounded of the young core? I'm thinking that was a sarcastic remark by the poster.

Anyway, on the plus side... if the season ends with the standings staying the same, that would be great! OKC/Denver instead of GSW/Houston/LAC.

Ingram proving that he is trash. I was so high on this kid until he came back from the injury. Turnover prone, ball sticks to his hands like Clarkson and he’s one of the worst FT shooting wings outside of anyone named Roberson.
Get him out of here. Can’t trade him soon enough.
Luke also proving that he’s a trash coach. I don’t understand most of his coaching decisions, and I’ve begun to realize that that’s just because he isn’t a very good coach. We needed somebody to be these guys’ friend the last two years... now we need an actual coach. Walton is too busy being a nice guy and encouraging everybody, and doesn’t understand how to reprimand anyone for a stunted mistake. How many awful TOs does this team need to make before they learn anything? I haven’t even seen him yell at anyone this year. Kuzma makes at least 3 dumb passes a game and as far as I can see, Luke totally endorses it. We can’t win anything with him at the helm. Need to axe him this summer, once Slender Man has been dealt for someone with a brain who can make FTs.
If you don’t agree with that then slap yourself and wake the hell up. |

I just don't understand how a professional basketball player who shoots a round ball into a hoop EVERY day can continuously be this horrendous from the free throw line. I understand its mental but man up, make the shot and move on.
I would be more confident in this team if they go through their typical offensive dry spells but actually make their free throws. You can get your free throws to be the start of an offensive flow or have it as a backup plan. Not a good feeling when everyone suddenly develops seizures from the offensive side and can't hit a line drive standing still with no one guarding them.
Unrelated, for some reason I really wanted coach tossed, I wanted him to exaggerate something and get tossed. That holds more than a player being tossed. |

Refs really ruined the flow of this game. In the end Lakers legs weren't there late and no depth to offset it. Zubac was completely taken out early in the game. Zo was solid. BI started OK but ended poorly. Kuz didn't have his shot but no one else to make them. Luke probably should have tried Mo or Svi just to see if fresh legs would help. Really got away from them in the second half.
That was a BS call on Hart. I mean how do you miss that? |

Anyone think Lou Williams would have been a good fit for the Lakers at $8mil/year? _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

I do my fair share of venting and moping, and I did not like how the previous regime was taken over, but this is a simplistic convenient "pick and choose" take on a not so simplistic situation. I mean you really want to go back to pre-Lebron era, and continue playing for lottery balls?
Also, do you really want Lou Williams back and not have Kyle Kuzma who is a decade younger? If the Lakers didn't clear cap by sending Russell to New Jersey and didn't get that 27th pick, they still would have had their 28th pick from the Lou trade. In this scenario, they may not have flipped the 28 for 30 and 43, which turned out to be Josh Hart and Thomas Bryant. If they didn't have 27, they would just have kept it. New Jersey had already gone on record saying they weren't going to take Kuzma at 27, so he was ours at 28.
See what I mean when I say simplistic? |
