Considering the Knicks paid (and continue to pay) Joakim Noah the full $72 million of the contract they signed him to and he played a total of 56 games for them, he made approx. $1.28 million PER GAME!

Just Wow, at least the Lakers were able to dump Deng and Mozgoof...

Has anyone ever made more per game?

Kobe made 5 million per game in 2014 because he played 6 games that year. What are our parameters here? Do we exclude cases like that? You want peeps to consider a player against his entire contract with a particular team (usually when said player starts to suck)?

The Nets had a goon squad of bigs in the early 90s with Duds, Haley, and Mahorn.

Dudley had a three-year stretch near the end of his career where he made $20 million (decent at the time) while playing only 150 games. Even so, he was only about the 5th highest paid player on his teams so his contract wasn't the albatross of some of these other guys.

He had one year in the first third of his career where he only play 6 games because of injuries, and he only played 3 games in his last year, but he was making a small salary in those two years.

I think Noah is #1 followed by Bosh. He signed his contract in 2014 and then only played 97 games. He made $116 million. That's $1.96 million per game.

He was still constantly ridiculed vehemently by Chuck Daley though.

Not the highest paid player ever, but this guy will forever be to me, the first domino that started all these crazy contracts for subpar or role players. His name was Jon Koncak.

No wonder people in our society hate the elite class so much.

Guys like Noah have a "work week" that simply consists of participating in practice or film sessions. During games they are glorified cheerleaders who sit in the best seats in the house.
