Per 36 minutes per game (because JR is only playing like 27 MPG so far), this is where Randle ranks for player who play more than 20 MPG:

PPG: T-13th/14th (24.9 PPG)
RPG: 13th (12.5 RPG)
APG: T-44th/45th (3.5 APG)

He's also 20th in the league in TS% (62.1 TS%)

He's also one of 10 players in this league average 18+ PPG/9+ RPG/2+ APG, and the ONLY player in the league to do it while averaging less than a minimum of 31 MPG. The only players to do it while averaging less than 33 MPG are Randle and Nikola Vucevic. Of those 10 players, if you look at per 36 numbers, Randle ranks 5th in PPG, T-1st/2nd in TS%, 6th in RPG, and 8th in APG. Only 5 of those 10 average 24+ PPG, 12+ RPG and 3+ APG per 36 minutes, including Randle, Giannis, Vucevic, AD and Embiid.

I would guess around $15-18 mil per year. I haven’t looked at which teams will have cap space to guess who might pay him.

Looking like the FO (bleep) up not giving JR a long term deal:

19/9/2.5 AND he's shooting 34% from 3pt range on 1.8 attempts in only 27 MPG. He has a per 36 on 25/12/4

He would have been the perfect small center for us. Oh well

This isn't like when D'Lo was traded and there were still questions about whether or not he'd pan out.

A lot of people saw what Julius could be and saw how he was being held back at times while playing here. Unfortunately you also had FAR too many people that were quick to dismiss every positive sign as some sort of fluke.

He's scoring efficiently and is a proven double double machine.

He's effective as a starter AND coming off the bench.

He's shooting much better from 3 while taking more 3's than he was allowed to take as a Laker.

He's still showing that when needed you can run an offense through him and he can be an effective playmaker for others.

Other than sheer stupidity and stubbornness there was no reason dump on Julius and basically push him out the door.

Agreed. X 1000

I can't completely say it was 100% on the Lakers, (maybe 80% Lakers, 20% Jules and his Mintz team).

But yeah, I 100% wanted Jules back and it's sad.

Odd, the Pels added him into the mix and went from a 48-34 sixth seed to a .500 12th seed. JR is the epitome of an empty stats player. I said it this offseason and I stand by it, no team giving JR significant minutes will make the playoffs.

It’s possible I care more about being right than being honest...but not in this case DLO, JC, JR, Nance....all of them will be sitting on the couch come playoff time. Our young core V1 0 was horrendous. JR is the best of the bunch, which isn’t saying much.

JC and Larry were playing in June this year while Lakers young core V2.0 was watching them at home. Then Lebron switched teams.

They lost a starter in Rondo and the guy who replaced him has been injured after 6 games.

They didn’t start to dominate until Cousins went down

They were on a 7-1 stretch before he went down, including a victory vs the red hot Rockets.

Julius Randle Last 5 Games

26.2 / 10.8 / 2.6 on 57% from the field and 46% from three

Anthony Davis Last 5 Games

23.4 / 11.2 / 5.8 / 3.8 / 1.8 on 54% from the field

Pelicans are 3-2 in that stretch. I think their front court is the least of the Pelican's problems at this point.

28/6/5 in win over Pistons. AD had an offnight against Drummond and Blake. Holiday had 37, but 9 TOs.

Realistically, if AD is now a center. Where does Randle rank in terms of top PFs in the West?

I'd have him over Milsap, Aldridge and Mirotic. So... I'd stress to say that if you consider Anthony Davis a center, the title of best power forward in the Western Conference is arguably between Julius Randle and Draymond Green.

IF we look at the top PF's considered in the league currently

You've got

Giannis (unless you consider him a 3)
Draymond Green
Blake Griffin
Kevin Love
LaMarcus Aldridge
Paul Milsap

I'd stress to say I'd take Randle over Blake or Love at this point so going by that list, if we consider Davis a center now, you could arguably have Randle top 3-4 in the league at power forward currently and this season.

Randle will get paid this summer. I can see Nets offering him a big deal and let RHJ leave. Aaron Mintz might want that as well if DLo re-signs with the nets.

DLO
LeVert
Joe Harris
Randle
Allen

You have a front court like Pistons with two guards capable of averaging 20 PPG and a terrific 3P shooter in Harris.
