The second best player on a team doesn’t come off the bench

Manu did. It’s about matchups and lineups that work together, maximizing the teams assets. It’s about winning the game at the expense of your personal pride.

I’d say he’s underperforming next to Lebron and he’d be better as the alpha on the floor for more of the game, which means coming off the bench. It doesn’t mean he plays less minutes just that his minutes may have a more positive outcome on the final score.

That block on DeMar (and creating a shotclock violation) was a thing of beauty

If he's out for a long time, we'll have a look about what Hart can provide with the first unit. Could lead Walton making some changes, but I doubt it, we're winning, our defense is improving A LOT, and I think we're back on track offensively.
In some ways, Hart has some qualities that will fit better with LeBron (just like Kuz), but IMO it will lead to going back to Cavs LeBron, and I don't think that's what the Lakers want...

This reminds me of where we were 2 years ago. We were playing well in the beginning of the season and then injury started to trouble us then we were never the same team again

We really missed his defense on DD. He used his length well against him.
He keeps improving at a steady pace, not to the liking of some who want him to break-out. I’m still behind him 100% and believe he’ll be a star once his body develops some more.

That sequence where he blocked DRoz on the drive was a thing of beauty b/c even though DRoz thought he beat BI to the middle of the lane, BI's insane length compensated. That's the BI I want to see, a shut down artist. He's already locked up a few guys.

What's the latest update on his injury?

If BI is out for some time, would love to see some Bonga time. SVI struggling mightily right now and maybe he could use the G League to get his confidence up.

With BI out, our defense suffered a lot last night and our second unit offense with Lance @ PG was horrible. Maybe Rondo plays tomorrow.

He had his confidence boosted (think he shot 6/7 or 7/8 from 3 in his last game) in his last game in G-League, what he needs is more playing time at NBA level to get out of his mental issue. I can't see how the team or Bongo would benefit from playing him right now at NBA level, he's clearly not ready from a basketball standpoint, which is not the case with Svi...

I’m not necessarily saying it’ll be because of a trade.

The flow in our offense is better though but BI can run the 2nd unit and get it going. BI have to learned to fit with Lebron though and that is no hesitation to let it fly beyond the arc, less dribble and more on moving the ball.

If he’s out for awhile, he’s gotta take the Ariza approach. I remember him never had a range and when he was injured , he came back with a 3 ball . BI already has the 3 ball, he just need to make it a weapon.

Only if he is traded which I doubt, so he will be starting again once he's back.

Well see. I don’t think it’s a given if the Zo/Hart/Bron/Kuz/center lineup keeps playing as well as it has.

Defense will be an issue. Lebron has to do a lot with that lineup just for us to stay above water and that won’t be good in a long run especially in marathon like in a regular season. We need to preserve Lebron for when it matters.

Kuzma can handle the iso responsibility that bi had which gave LeBron a breather
