Needs more time in the GLeague and build his confidence. It's tough for a rookie to come in and face nba size and speed. Gotta ramp him up a little.

Sorry Svi but his place is still not in the NBA. This season he need to play in GL and maybe next can be his season to start playing. He obviously dont belong to big guys now. I will never slam young players and I will not do it with Svi. Its Lukes fault he is in the games.

Svi will be fine. He should get some reps in the G-League though. With not much cap room next summer if we sign a second star, Svi might be called to be the permanent backup 2, so he should be ready to shoot the lights out if need be.

Shaggy P is 10x the shooter this guy is, and the dude is basically waiting for a team to give him a call.

He’s gotta make these wide open 3’s eventually right? I mean that’s literally all they need him to do. Make the damn shot.

Hope he can get rid of the nerves on the big stage. No reason for him to miss FTs other than that. At least made one three. Maybe that's a start.

Maybe we should update his nickname to the "Pre-Machine". Reminds me a lot of an early career Sasha. Great shooter who can't hit a shot to save his life in a real game.

Did that actually change later in his career?

He recovered enough to become a 37% career shooter at least. But really only lived up to his potential in that one machine season when he sank 43.7% of his threes.

Tonight was the perfect opportunity for him to have a break out night. Lebron kept feeding him wide open looks, close game, and Svi just kept clanking. I liked the one time he pump faked and drove inside the lane to draw the foul. That was about it.

Shades of Sasha Vujacic who they said couldn't miss from 3 at practice. It's not like the shots Svi got were contested. They were wide open looks!

Svi is going to get there. He's getting good looks and taking them with conviction. A couple breakout games and he will start to consistently make at a good clip.

i hope he makes it this season, him and Wagner stepping up improve our trading pieces a lot for an eventual trade next year after we land KD.

He’ll be fine he’s just not ready quite yet. Next summer league should be fun to watch. Then next year I think he’ll be a solid end of rotation specialist.

Basketball or mental issue IYO ? For me he's ready, he'a a decent defender, even a decent playmaker, we know he can shoot but he can't make an open 3 pter right now. It's all mental for me...

All of the above. I don’t think he feels open even when he is because of the size and speed of the defenders. I also don’t think he’s a decent defender or playmaker right now, but he’s got the potential to get there.

I liked what I saw last night though. Got some good looks and no hesitation. Shot did not dropped but he looks like a threat.

He is a threat... and defenses are forced to cover him.

That alone is a benefit even though he hasn't started hitting his shots.

Yea I did too despite thinking it showed he isn’t ready yet. He plays hard and took good shots with confidence in real minutes of a game that wasn’t decided. When guys get hurt/foul trouble I like getting him playing time. I just don’t think he’s ready to be in the regular rotation.

Yep.
He has a knack for getting open. And that's a great trait.
Once he gets used to the courts, it'll be fun to watch him stretch the floor.
I also think he's going to be an underrated defender. More so for his team defense cuz he has the smarts.

I think people are reading too much into this game. Anyone can have a tough 12 minute run, especially if you are getting essentially zero playing time.
When you know you will get a consistent block of minutes a game you are able to settle down and not be nervous and obviously get in a better rhythm. If you are getting spotty minutes like him you have a rush of pressure to try to play as well as possible when you finally get put in a game.
