Great game from Lonzo today. He got to shine a little more without Ingram taking up possessions.

He's been scared into shutting up for months it seems.

Not really TBH. It's just that national media doesn't highlight his quotes unlike last season. 😂

His counterparts Forbes and Mills were 3 of 15. (I know he's not the only one guarding them, but still)

Are we 8-1 now when ZO plays 30+ minutes? He played 40 tonight.

Zo was on time in locking down lanes. He not only sees the play being run (one assumes more time than he likes in film study with ‘Do), but he reacts right on time as he allows the play to develop so his timing cuts off the intention. I see it now... my cynicism is residing.

Really liked the way he played tonight on both ends. I wanna see more tomahawk sledgehammers like he had in the 1st q.

He was also switched on DeRozan a couple of times, iirc, and DeRozan got nothing when LONZO was on him. I was disappointed we didn't try LONZO on DD late when DD was frying us.

only two out of fifteen posts on this page (predictably) went after his ugly free throws...
even though its just boring to read, at least the lonzo contrarians are lessening stat-wise.

Anyone else notice Lonzo running the PNR and keeping the defender on his hip? I havent seen him do that prior. But very good to see.

Yeah, and he even took a little mid range J off one of those actions.

Definitely noticed it. He put pressure on them which we haven’t seen him do.
Seems like the switch turned on for this kid.
A good Zo is an aggressive Zo. He has to keep it up.

Anyone else noticing a few more instances of Lonzo just giving up on closing out and contesting 3s (a la LeBron)? Not to take away from his game but those possessions are annoying me.

I've been noticing Lonzo adding pick and rolls into his game, hope he keeps getting better everyday!

Haven't paid attention to that. Was this early in the 4th quarter when Spurs had a run? He closed down one corner three covering a lot of ground though and the player missed. I was impressed by that.
