Trade deadline is fast approaching and teams in the lottery will start buying out the vets on the team.. here is a list of players who might come here this year in a buy out and help us especially in the playoffs when the 3pt shot is crucial:

Trevor Ariza
J.R. Smith
Wesley Matthews
DeMarre Carroll
Jodie Meeks
Nick Young
Matt Thomas

If you have other possible buy out candidates or trade possibilities list the names if you want.

Pretty sure Yinoma still wants Ariza hopefully it happens cause he’s the guy who is most familiar with the Organization.

I'd just let KCP, Svi, and Moe shoot more often.

None of those players move the needle shooting wise... maybe you get Ariza for the two way benefit... but I'm not sure he's the same player he once was.

Nah, don’t think we can just stand pat, we need 1 or 2 reliable shooters on this team, KCP is more of a defensive guy then a shooter, Moe is a energy big and Svi is to Inexperienced.

If there's a good player available... I'm all ears... but those guys won't really change anything.

Come up with some better names and maybe I'll agree we could use them.

Nobody. Not trying to mess with our cap for a shooting specialist.
We have Svi on the roster. Coaching staff just needs to work on his development.

To come up with better names it will take trading young pieces, Beal is better then all those guys I listed but no one wants him cause he messes up our 2019 cap plan.

aside from ariza who plays defense and shoots at a good clip IF he gets enough mins and shots off. but can go ice cold at times. the other guys dont play defense really. and they need time and touches that they probably would not get. wesley i like but he's going to need a lot of time and touches. over who? thats the issue.

I hope he isn’t intrigued going back to Houston to help his friend Harden and CP3, someone mentioned he hates LeBron so not sure if we even have a chance to get him.

They likely aren’t good memories. Someone speculated he might end up with GS. As for available players, it might be tough getting them many minutes, that might impact who wants to come here. But if they can shoot, sign them up.

I’m guessing vet min contracts but we would need to create roster spots

Yeah, we don’t need those players now but in the playoffs any of those guys can help.

im still baffled as to why the Suns even wanted Ariza when they end up tanking again. but good for competing teams who could pick him up on a vet min once they part ways. win-win for Ariza, he got paid and will get to compete in the playoffs as well

Odd list. Nick Young has been a free agent the whole season and has been trying to attract the Lakers attention for months while they ignore him.

Wesley Matthews is it career 22% three-point shooter.

Matt Thomas, I believe, is playing overseas.

JR Smith is pretty much toast.

Not sure anyone on this list is a significant Improvement to what we already have on our roster.

Ariza, is probably the best, though he isn't exactly a knockdown 3-point shooter himself. I think his career average is about 35% if he gets a buyout by guess is he goes to hous or gw

If we get a 3-point specialist it would have to be by trade because we're packed at just about every position.

During the offseason, instead of signing Stephenson I would've considered Omri Casspi. He's a knockdown 3 point shooter and was really cheap for Memphis to sign. Plus, having played for GSW last season, he has championship experience.

Agreed the list is odd, but there is no way Wes Matthews is a career 22% 3pt shooter. He’s been a 3pt shooter since entering the league.

LOL,

Every player who was here when Ariza was here is GONE.

Every upper management person who was running the Lakers when Ariza was here is GONE.

Every Laker Coach who was here when Ariza was here is GONE.

Every Laker Girl who was here when Ariza was here is GONE.

So just who in the "Organization" is he familiar with?

The security guy at the Staples entrance? Maybe a few peanut vendors, or the dude that brings fresh towels in the locker room?

Not sure how him being "familiar" counts for anything...

What I mean is that his transition to the team will be smooth cause he played here regardless rather everything is changed now.

I wouldn't mind Carroll. He is solid shooter and solid defender. Ariza is like a main target because he can defend really good.
Matthews also would be great pick up.
JR we all know the history.
Thomas more or less.
Young Meeks nah skip that
