Yup. My thoughts exactly.

Good thing we have both McGee and Chandler at center now. We went from weak to deep real fast at the 5. We can now afford to keep Moe with South Bay and give him oodles of playing time.

Mo, Bonga & Svi have a laundry list of things to work on before they will be able to contribute on an NBA play-off contending team. In time they can be viable players however the Lakers are no longer just a rookie incubator team, we are trying to build a winning culture.

Idk who is closest, but I’m 100% confident at least one will end up a solid 7th man type contributor. I’d bet on at least 2. All very good picks.

kind of resembled a cross between Magic, Dr. J, Bill Russell.....and Chris Mihm.

He looked like Moritz Wagner always looks....like he is trying really hard, but not accomplishing much.

Hmmm...the internet tells me he made a few nice passes. Oh, well.

Should've brought back Brook.

come on...you going to trust the internet or adkindo? Honestly, I was not watching closely by that point in the game.....but I am going to be childish about the pick until Moritz proves me wrong.

21 pts, 3 3pts made, 7 asts earlier in gleague game.

Kid can pass from the high post. He also did it yesterday with a pass to kcp.

Yes, he can pass, post up, shoot and is a great energy guy. On the other hand, he`s a bad defender/rebounder with below average athleticism.

Maybe he can become a Kelly Olynyk

Olynyk would be the second or third best player on the team right now, so that would be pretty great.

Third best at PF/C?

C'mon man, they are 7-13 in the EC and he's not even a starter

The Heat's point differential is minus -1.9. The Lakers' is -0.2.

The team right now has LeBron and a bunch of zero-contributors or negatives. McGee has been a positive, as was Rondo when he was playing.

His G-league work resembles his college effort. He is active, communicates and can do a bunch of things reasonably well: pass, shoot the 3, cover the weak side. He is still too light to play interior position D consistently, cannot hit his shots consistently when bothered, and fairly weak on rebounding. But I like hi, activity, his ability to get out and run, and his (developing) passing game.

He just needs to do 2 things to stay in the nba. Shoot the 3 ball at an average clip and defend the 5 decently.

Mo is likely to be important for us. It's just a matter of how quickly he can regain his form after being out of action for months, missing training camp.

Mo brings 3 key things

- Size
- Shooting/spacing
- Scoring

Mo can score. Yes, he's not a great defender or rebounder. But our second unit is too small, particularly if Beasley is not regularly in the rotation. We need more size there, as well as more scoring.

I hope Mo is not so far behind from his injury that he won't be able to help out this year. I think he will eventually get some meaningful run this year, especially if Beasley stumbles.

Unless McGee or Chandler get injuried, I'd rather him get a full season in G-league and bring him up next year.

If he can play at the NBA level, Moe's skillset would let the coaching staff add a lot of wrinkles to the offense.
