Quote:
“I’m going to speak on this one time and one time only. With what happened a few nights ago, Kevin and I spoke. We’re moving forward.

“I think there’s no secret that I am an emotional player. I wear my emotions on my sleeve; I play with that same emotion. Sometimes, it gets the best of me and it doesn’t work to my favor. I’m going to live with that because it works to my favor, to the good -- as my resume speaks and as this team’s resume speaks -- more so than it doesn’t.

“I’m never going to change who I am. I’m going to approach the game the same way I always do and, like I said, we’ll continue to move forward.

“I’ve read a lot about how ‘Is this the end of the run?’ Or “Is it over?’ Or ‘Did I ruin it?’ Or ‘Did I force Kevin to leave?’ At the end of the day, as I’ve said before, whatever Kevin decides to do, whatever Klay decides to do, whatever who decides to do, we’ve had great years together. And I support everybody, whole-heartedly, 100 percent. Because as a man, as human being, you’ve got the right to do whatever you want to do with your life. So I’ll never question that.

“But what you must know is that nobody in this organization, from a player, not myself, not Kevin, not anybody else is going to beat us. If you’re one of the other 29 teams in the league, you’ve got to beat us, because we’re not going to beat us. We’re going to continue to do what we do.

“I’m sorry if that ruins everybody’s stories. I know everybody’s got a job to do. I apologize for ruining y’all’s stories, if it did. But if this only makes Kevin and myself and my teammates stronger, that’s what it’s going to do. So if you think you saw something before, good luck with us now. We’re not going to crumble off of an argument. We’re going to move forward.

“That’s all I’ve got to say. Anybody want to talk about basketball, I’m here. If not, it’s been real.”

Jarret Jack saying a team with AD/Durant/LeBron will happen. 👀I think it’s safe to say Jarret Jack will be one of the dozen vets willing to come here if we create a super team next summer.

Sounds like Andrew Bogut’s tweet from last season about these things being planned in advance

To put this in perspective...Houston had the best record last season winning 79.3% of its games.

During the Warriors record setting season they won 89% of their games.

If we win our next five games we will be 92% over the last 12 games
If we only win 4 out of our next 5 games we will still be playing at an 83% pace. Both goals are achievable.

If the players win 10 out of 12 games, I think people should stop trying to trade them away.

Alright lets slow down and see this happen first lol

I wouldnt be surprised if we win all 3 of these road games coming up and I also wouldnt he surprised if we lost 2 of them.

It will be a good test to see how well the kids can perform without Rondo backing up Ball... maybe a preview of next year if we can't re-sign him.

I agree they can lose... there really aren't any automatic wins... but we should go 4 for 5 minimum.

Ideally we'd go 12 - 1 until Houston, but after watching the Atlanta game... you have to be prepared for anything.

I'm hoping to be 25 - 8 by Christmas... losing only to Denver on the road and maybe Houston... but 23 - 10 or 21 - 12 might be more likely.

Hopefully the team is starting to think this way... it sounds greedy, but these records are achievable going by recent trends.

The most promising sign is that we’re starting to win the games that we used to lose.. if this was last year’s team we’d have 3 losses to Portland right now.

I don’t wanna speak too soon but they’re starting to win the games that I usually expect them to lose. Like the game @ Sacramento as well

Obviously LeBron is a huge help in this lol

There is no need to make bonehead moves now. Just let the team develop and sign a max player if the opportunity presents itself. Something is bound to happen.

The key is Magic and Pelinka put in the missing piece, for the Lakers are REAL close.
Just maybe a dead eye closer.

GS doesn’t need to max out Green, he isn’t a FA.

You keep praising other teams while ignoring the great position the Lakers franchise is in... you already know the Lakers will be winning titles while Jerry West’s Clippers won’t ... even if they add FAs next summer.

West knew what type of players that can take teams to another level. Getting rid of Monta Ellis when he was having his career year was one of his first move as Warriors consultant. He traded Blake Griffin and that was surprise but gutsy move. It is a right move after all. And that rookie he drafted is a pretty good.

Thought West just wanted to do due diligence in the draft while Dr.Buss didn't want to hear any of it.

No, he didn't
Jerry wanted Sidney Moncrief
Jack Kent Cooke overruled him - at the direction of Jerry Buss, who was in the process of buying the team

While the overall record is not great at the present moment.

We're 8-3 after a 0-3 start and 4-0 since acquiring Chandler.

Lakers are rolling. I would say that the free agency decisions are generally working out once Chandler was added as the missing piece.

Excited over what the FO can do next off season. Going to enjoy the ride this season.

IMO Magic played a role in acquiring LeBron.

I believe LeBron wants good strong management above him that he respects and can trust, unlike that guy he had in Cleveland

its just my 2 cents tho

I personally think the current FO creating 2 Max slots (which seriously wasn't easy to do, I'm still impressed) last summer played a big part in Lebron coming.

I would be less inclined to believe Lebron would have come if he didn't think we would have a chance to sign a 2nd big FA within a season or 2.''

ETA: As to the post above stating Lebron saw good management and this would have likely played a role in his decision, I completely agree. Let's put it this way, we created our 2nd max slot by trading with the team who was trying to keep lebron. It was Cleveland that helped us land Lebron James. If you're Lebron, would you trust the Cleveland FO?
