It's gotta be mental for him. He's got so much upside and we can all see it. Affects all facets of the game but sometimes he just "not there". _________________ Let's Go Lakers!!! |

That’s the problem with the game today. People don’t care about rebounds, defense, or passion anymore apparently. |

I think Zo's upside is Jason Kidd. Neither were or will be great shooters or scorers, but great passers and good to great rebounders and defenders. |

Sadly, Magic doesn't have two years and I'm afraid he will pull the trigger in trading some of the young core.
He wants to win now vs. young player development. No patience imo. Let the kids develop organically. _________________ Let's Go Lakers!!! |

I wouldn't agree with that. Averaging 22 or 23 points per game isn't a rubber stamp to being an All-Star. There are lots of guys who have averaged 23 points in a season without making the All-Star team.
Right now, kuz isn't close to being an All-Star |

Anyone ever do that on the Lakers? Lakers fans will inflate votes. |

Big fact.
He has the scoring ability and thats all that matters. No one ever said you cant be an allstar as a bad defender. |

I love all three. I will say that Hart's game seems to improve on a weekly basis. It is crazy how good this kid has become. |

Zo lacks the drive that Kuzma and Hart have, which is why he’ll never be better. _________________ We only celebrate championships.

Id love to know how you measured his drive in the 63 games he's played in the NBA. Esp when measured against Kuz and Hart? People say defense is all about heart and effort. Did you consider that or are you just going off demeanor or playstyle? This narrative that Zo lacks drive is all make believe. Esp when he worked on every weakness he was told to work on over the course of a summer he had knee surgery. If anything it shows Zo has alot of drive to get better. Give the kid a break already. 63 fricken games played in the NBA. |

Fans votes only affect the starters. And even in the case of the starters the voting system has changed to include media and players so the fans don't have as much influence as they used to.
But to your specific question, I can't think of any Lakers who averaged 23 or more who weren't Hall of Famers who deserved to be on an All-Star team. We did have that incident decades ago where an undeserving ac greene got in because of ballet stuffing but the current system has the media and players check to prevent that. |

He needs to be on a team like Orlando. | no. he needs to be on a team with some shooters obviously. but he also needs to get longer stints on the floor. he gets in a groove when he's out there for awhile. but if not. he has not figured out how to strike quickly and often within a short time span. |
He needs to be more assertive, run the offense thru him when he gets the ball, kinda like young Rondo with KG/Ray/Pierce | but thats the thing. what we deem assertive is an old school point guard. a ball dominant pound the ball most of the shot clock and setting everyone up type of pg. that aint zo. never has been zo. probably will never be zo. zo gets the ball out of his hands quickly to allow others to make the 2ndary pass or to allow the play to be setup quicker. if a coach doesnt understand this, or his teammates dont get it. he will look super uninspired. Someone said it in here. Zo is the system. he is not going to do well trying to FIT in the system. Once everyone realizes that he will be fine. if they dont, well, he's going to be a solid defender and a good 2ndary passer that can hit some open 3's from time to time. thats about it. thats ok and good to have because we wont be paying him much, nor will he be good trade bait because most coaches dont understand how to use a guy like this. its going to take some out of the box thinking for someone to use him properly especially among other vets/stars. cause your gut will have you going with a traditional style over his style. |

Lonzo was better than both last season and i would bet he's better by the end of this season. Not sure where this nonsense comes from. |

Lonzo shows glimpses...that have been amazing. But over the course the past two years I would take Kuz and Hart over him because I know what I would get with those two players. I would rather have consistent, then more talented and inconsistent in my starting lineup.
Lonzo is getting in DLo territory....people loving the IDEA of what he could be...and not seeing him for what he consistently produces. |

With Kuz, y'all just care about scoring... He won't be better than Lonzo because Lonzo is gonna enhance everything that he already does better than Kuzma - which is everything, besides scoring. |
