If I were in Cleveland I'd consider going although the parking would make me reconsider...

With LeBron James now a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, you knew it was going to be a down year in Cleveland for the Cavaliers. However, nobody thought the team was going to take this much of a dip.

According to TMZ, Cavaliers tickets were reselling on third-party sites for Wednesday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets for $2.

Seriously.

Cleveland got hammered by the Nets, 102-86, but that’s not even the worst part. Looking at reseller websites, there are several games for the Cavaliers that fans could purchase for single-digit figures.

In fact, for a game next week against the Atlanta Hawks, parking is four (4!) times the cost of a ticket.

The reality is that teams don’t make as much money as you might think off of getting people in the door. The NBA machine is based on TV deals, concessions, apparel, and corporate suite sales. Teams also have complex algorithms that determine the price of tickets throughout the course of the day.

Nevertheless, if you are in Northeast Ohio and want to head out for a game, apparently you’ll get some change back from you $20 at Quicken Loans Arena.

Clarkson is their 2nd leading scorer....slightly behind Love, and well in front of the other 4 starters. RJ Barrett will help next season.

Hawks Cavs 2002. It's gonna look like that again inside Gund/Quicken.

They're "Three's A Crowd" bad. That spinoff failed for lack of Joyce DeWitt. She was the Brawn of "Three's Co".

This used to happen to the Raptors when they were bad during the lakers championship runs.

I remember being able to get 6th to 7th row seats at relatively reasonable prices and being able to see Kobe and Gasol up close.

So if I were in Cleveland, I would just do the same thing and get cheap tickets to see stars from other teams up close!

Yeah the Pacers play them tonight I would've gone if I lived in Cleveland...

I only go to Pacers game in person if I actually win the tickets in this case $2 to see my team would be worth it.

After the Lakers moved to Staples and won their first championship of the Shaq/Kobe/Phil era the only way to afford good seats to see the Lakers was to watch them play on the road against the Clippers. The tickets prices were less than half.

Just saw LNJ is leading the team in assists coming off the bench.

Maybe they should put one of those Bud Light fridges in Quicken Loans arena that will only unlock the next time the Cavs win a game.

It's pretty funny how Clarkson and Nance kept talking about how excited they were to be on a championship contending team and play with LeBron, and then LeBron leaves for the team they were originally on.

Still overpriced. The only time anyone will bother is when the other team has some decent players visiting CLE.

Clippers marketed their games back in the day with ads in the LA Times: "See Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and Dominique Wilkens at the Sports Arena with a special 3 game package!"

agree with you about that part....guess I was perceiving it as if I unfortunately resided in the city. From your perspective of having to go to Cleveland to watch a game.....then yeah, they would have to pay me a decent amount.

For $2, I'd get more entertainment out of a lotto ticket than the Cavs.

I did that for a few years and it was several big-time teams, including the Lakers in those packages. They even continued it for at least the first year after moving to Staples. With that package deal, I was there when Shaq dropped his career high 61 points on the Clippers.

According to The Athletic's Joe Vardon: "It's becoming increasingly clear that when you hear a Cavs veteran talk about younger players not knowing their role, or knowing how to win, or what to do on the court, they mean Sexton. Throughout the organization, the line on Sexton is that he does not 'know how to play.'"

They don't even get a Kyrie to rebuild around this time.
