Could he be a top 5 blocks guy this year?

Good minutes from McGee. Great value signing. Should earn a nice raise this summer if he stays consistent.

Best bang for the buck signing this off season. He's solid and fits in perfectly with what we're trying to implement.

Block rate, yes. Blocks per game, will depend on how many MPG he can play

If only McGee could play more minutes, I'd be a lot happier with this team.

If Mcgee didn't have exercise induced asthma and could play 30+ MPG he would have cost way more than vet min

He's been absolutely fantastic so far on both ends

Luckily he fits like a glove. His blocks especially defensive were very impressive.

I do wish he would box out better though. Even when he was out there rebounding was still a struggle.

Javale is what he is. And tonight he was awesome at being Javale. If you are filtering his game through preconceptions that he would be a different type of player than he has always been, you are bound to be disappointed.

8 rebounds in 22 minutes is very good. He won't do much better than that.

Getting blocks from behind after getting beat isn't ideal, but come on, he did prevent the basket.

Look at the big picture. He ran his butt off. He got a dunk after a block at the other end because he played hard and ran, ran, ran.

There are real and valid concerns about the Lakers' rebounding - I'd say that we really miss Brook Lopez' ability to just box out and consume space after a shot for the guards to grab rebounds. But that has never been what javale does, so don't assume he'll se'll start doing that now.

Really impressed with McGee so far. Provides us shotblocking, running the break, catching lobs. The most impressive thing about him currently is his ft shooting. Never expected him to be a solid ft shooter. I think he could occasionally hit the midrange and three

If only we can duplicate him. Maybe Vlade can do us a solid and give us WCS for a 2nd. He's really just a younger version of Magee. Skinny, Lanky Center who can't play too many minutes.

Still have high hopes for Moe and to a lesser degree Zu tho.

Couldn't agree more Notice when he goes out teams go right to the post against Kuzma like Evan Turner

I think the Lakers want to see if they can stretch McGee into playing 24-28 minutes a game. Looks like a great signing, but there are going to be ups and downs this season, and last night McGee was a bright spot.

Still need someone to back him up. Kuz isn't it.

What a great pick and only for the minimum we might have won if Luke didn’t take him out...

Javale is the only thing keeping the center position on this team from being a complete (bleep). Kuz is completely miscast as a 5 and Zu is a flat out scrub. FO messed up badly by not keeping Brook or Jules to share duties with Mcgee.

He can only play so many minutes. It would be great to have another big fill in another 20 and go small ball 8 to 10. I’m one of the fo biggest supporters but center is last years point guard mess

He’s probably our 2nd best player as of two games. Never thought I’d say that.

Agreed. I love almost all of Magic and Rob's moves so far, but they really messed this up.
