I do not know the answer, but Watson took the full force of 2 nasty collisions near the goal line yesterday, and he did not gain an additional inch on either. I guess you could say if he ran out of bounds or slid, it would have been a yard or two less....but I have to think that is a better option that allowing LB's and DB's to treat my QB like a RB. I am not even a Texans fan, but started him in fantasy yesterday and was worried he would not survive the game. All it takes is one of those type hits, especially with QB level padding, to snap a collar bone or separate a shoulder. |

Recent history belies your premise. |

Wow. What a way to surpass the all-time passing yardage record with a bomb for TD.
Well deserved. Love Drew Brees. |

I have a feeling bearded burly Saints fan that was crying may regret that MNF did a closeup of him tomorrow at work. |

Brees is one of the best lesser hailed QB's in the league. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Yeah. His career should have ended in 2006. |

Always thought Drew Brees got a raw deal from the Chargers. It worked out for him though, he got a Super Bowl ring and the Chargers haven't advanced past the AFC championship. |

Is alex Smith ever going to take any shots downfield?
I can’t tell if this is Grudens work or Smith or both |

Good for him but these records being broken don't seem as special as it did in the past since they don't seem to last as long.
If anything it actually makes me respect Marino more because he did it in a much more difficult era and I don't even like Marino. |

It was definitely more difficult in past decades.....but they should probably put asterisks on any QB that will play most of their career beginning last season. Wentz, Mayfield, Goff, Darnold and other young QB's will never have a clue what is was like to play QB in the NFL that even Brees played most of his career. |

there's a reason KC moved on from Smith.
he's good enough to get you to the playoffs but won't actually win in the playoffs. |

KC took Washington behind the woodshed on that trade. They got a decent CB and a decent draft pick for a guy they had no interest in retaining. |

Last year the Patriots started 2-2 but the offense played well; it was just the defense playing like trash instead of both sides of the ball.
And a large percentage of the time the Patriots actually do get off to fast starts. People remember the slow starts because it’s unusual for them. |
Well the 2018 Patriots did follow up that loss to the Lions with 2 blowout wins, just like the 2014 Patriots And they blew out Miami who now looks like they were pretending to be serious about the division. The AFC looks weak again so if the Patriots can go at least 1-1 against the Chiefs and Bears in the next 2 games they should be sailing after that. Even an 11-5 record might be good enough for a first round bye. |

It's just sad watching Eli Manning. First play, interception in their own territory.
Hope there's a QB in the upcoming draft that's NFL ready. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

If only they had been in a position to draft a QB in the 2018 Draft at #2 overall...lol. |

Saquon is awesome. That doesn't change the fact that it was a really bad pick. The value of a QB to an NFL franchise dwarfs that of a RB. Considerably. |
