I forgot the plan was to "playmake" teams to death. |

Question. So If they can't be effective spacing and shooting the 3s, are they better off running a different system than uptempo ala GS and Houston?
In the modern NBA, if you can't shoot the 3 effectively - you get buried. _________________ Let's Go Lakers!!! |

If we try to slow it down it will be harder for us to get high % shots and we'll probably have to settle for more low % outside shots with the shot clock running down.
I've noticed that in our transition game we're mostly looking to get layups. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

I took so much sh*t from the analytics guys for my so called simplistic understanding of basketball even though I've been watching it forever. I said Let's sign some shooters and scorers... and they all said... You don't understand... the future is all about positionless basketball and switchability.
Well I like the way we move the ball, and I can see what they mean by switching off, but as expected if you can't put the ball in the hole... it doesn't really matter.
I also think we will do okay considering our depth, that we have LBJ, and hopefully Lonzo will be healthy.
But I really wish we signed more shooters.
And since we didn't... they've gotta let Svi play. He's looked as shaky as a junky going through withdrawal but it doesn't matter. We need to let him shoot because everyone else is just too streaky. |

You advocated signing known marksmen Dwight Howard and Rajon Rondo. _________________ Under New Management |

I think FO were too cute this summer and I gave them the benefit of the doubt all summer. Maybe they know KD or KL are in the bag already and just said f it this year. Still too early and who knows we might still win a bunch of games despite our weaknesses. Lonzo could prove to be invaluable as well |

Agree with that theory
I would have done something like this
Rondo/IT/Caruso
Ball/Hart/Shamet (instead of Moe)
Ingram/Svi/FA who can shoot better than Lance
LBJ/Kuzma/Beasley
Dwight/McGee/Zubac
This would have given us two more people who can shoot or score. And Dwight would take care of the center duties.
Lance I suppose hasn't been too bad, but I just don't like his style of play. |

Yeah we definitely need more shooters. Idk why Stephenson and Beasley were signed |

They missed LeBron tonight big time.
McGee, Beasley and Stephenson seem to make two mistakes for every good play they do (2:1), if the Lakers can get that down to 1:1, they will be able to win these close games..
Also, Kuz, is not playing very well, neither is Pope..
Come to think of it, the only players that are playing good are LeBron, Ingram and Hart..
So far the Pre-season has been quite depressing... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

I don't get people who say "we also didn't have Lonzo".
Wait.. What will Lonzo do exactly?
He is an historically bad shooter and an even worst free throw taker. These will be our biggest concerns all season and he is the epitome of someone incompetent in these specialties.
Rondo has been playing better than Lonzo ever will tbh. If you ass Lebron to this team, sure you might get pass average / trash teams like the Kings and Clippers. But you will have 0 chance to be in the PO.
We just are very BAD at shooting and making FT. Our defense is very suspect as we have no real defensive center even if Mcgee will block shots and have offensive results.
We are good at running and trying to male cool plays that most of the times end up in turn overs.
I don't have confidence in this roster. Not at all. Inconsistent kids and isolation players won't get you far even with Lebron. |

They might have to play even more uptempo to try and get easy baskets before the defense gets set.
Playing slow with poor three point shooting could be quite painful. |

3/18.....
I mean we needed shooting badly, so we went out and got the worst 3pt shooters possible lol
We will struggle to be abover 70 % from the line this year, Rondo/McGee/LBJ aren't good at that, frustrating to say the least. |

For starters he will bring defense, he was our best defender last year with Julius, he was a game changer despite his putrid shooting.
And lol at Rondo, dude is just coasting right now, overpassing everything, he is what he is at the point of his career and NEEDS the ball to be semi-effective. Don't let raw assists numbers fool you, he made a living out of it and still can't find a team for more than 1 year. |

Zu looked great in the first quarter short stint.
I believe in him based on that alone.
Also I feel Mo will surpass him as our 2nd string guy by end of season. |
