Jimmy Butler is a star (*not a superstar) that can get you around 20 a game, but if we want to get him now we have to at least give up two great young prospects who combine can be equally productive. Him doesn't want to come to the lakers is not a bad thing to me. He is kinda overrated.

Frankly I'd rather have Kuzma & Ingram's 33ppg for a combined $7.4mil than Butlers 20ppg for $19.8mil...

That 19.8M will grow even more once he seeks the max contract next summer... it will be more like 32.1M, we will still have BI/Kuz under contract for a few more years.

This x 100.
No one can argue that Butler is better than Kuzma or Ingram.
And no way in hell would I give up both for butler when we would NOT for Kawhi. Butler has been injury prone and is not as good a shooter as healthy Kawhi.

Lakers fans need to freaking chill.

I don't think Butler's a fit. IMO Magic has LeBron running the team. To me Jimmy's a player who doesn't want the passenger seat, he wants to drive the car. Having said that I hope James doesn't lean to hard on our youngsters and lose control of a team on the rise by alienating them.

Butler is not for me and should not be for the Lakers. He's a very good player under the right situation. He's a 2-way player but a leader he is not. No thanks.

Thibs 29 year old
attitude problems

He's a really good player but I also don't know how he'd play 2nd fiddle to LeBron.

So yeah I'm OK with this. He'd be a good player for the Clippers.

Butler is amazing, not sure what you dudes are all smoking...
Hes is top 5 in the league when hes on.
All defensive, hes a super competitor - deserving of max contract.

If could trade Ingram and Ball to get him - would do so in a heartbeat.

Lebron
Butler
Kuzma
Rondo
KCP/Hart...

that would give Golden State fits... you could be competing this year!

Yep, couldn't care less. PG13 and Butler have been making me sweating bullets. The fear is that we might actually be on the hook for them. Dodged one bullet, one more to go.

So he must not have been “on” in last years playoffs....

And he’s not worth a max contract. But some dope GM will give it to him
