Over his career he is about one point over his career averages against the Lakers. Not a huge difference but he probably does get more excited about these games since he's from here and probably has lots of family and friends that are Lakers fans. |
That’s a good reason |

Who does he match up against?
There's your answer. |
Wasn’t he matched up against Randle? In essence Randles physicality is supposed to match up well with Gibson but was getting owned by him when they matched up. |

I'm certainly not a coach, but I am old enough to remember what the great coaches of the 80's did.
So when the Lakers took over the game near the end of the first half due to Towns out for foul trouble, the old-time coaches would get him in foul trouble in the second half as well, even get him to foul out.
It's VERY sad when the Laker brain-trust can't figure something like this out...!
And Lopez scoring the first 15 points and then only three more the rest of the game is a freakin joke as well!
Can you imagine if the Lakers had a coach that preached the kind of defense that Tiberiou does? _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

Same. I guess it’s no longer a strategy these days. The lakers have had a few games where the opponent’s key player has been in foul trouble and they don’t attack.
It used to be one of the ways you could win a game. Not so much anymore. |

Agree with both of you. Luke actually called a timeout after Brook's hot start just to get other guys involved. Luke has been generally good with timeouts this season but that one really got me mad.
I'm from the school of Pat Riley, where you ride what works until it stops working. That's how we did it in the Showtime days. Byron is in a zone? Get him the ball every trip down. Worthy dominating in the post? Show him the rock.
Lopez was having his way, and Luke called a timeout to get the ball out of his hands? What the... |

If you have a 4k tv and you look really closely, you'll see that Stu is, in fact, made of salt. |
