With Steve Alford at the helm it might be a longshot, fortunately with his family here UCLA's always going to be in the mix. |

Yep. I'm hoping he goes back to Indiana at some point so we can get a coach whose ceiling isn't Sweet 16 despite being in a fertile recruiting ground. |
Same here, thought Indiana was his dream job, should've pursued that gig right after Crean was gone. Bruins are stuck in yet another Steve-16 cycle in the past 20 years while Miles Norris, Brandon Williams, B. Bol venture out elsewhere. |

I forgot he was going to Arizona

Wildcats head coach Sean Miller may have already cost them one of their biggest recruits for the 2018 class.
In a tweet on Friday, Shareef O’Neal, the son of basketball great Shaquille O’Neal, hinted that he no longer wants to attend Arizona. The 18-year-old has since deleted the post but not before it was captured by multiple Twitter users.
Sean Miller is probably done

Shareef O’Neal not trying to be part of a sinking ship out in Arizona.

It had been revealed earlier in the day that Miller was caught on FBI wiretap discussing a $100,000 payment to ensure that star freshman DeAndre Ayton signed with the Wildcats. It was just the latest in a slew of allegations pointing to rampant corruption in multiple high-profile college basketball programs.
As for O’Neal, a five-star forward who currently attends Crossroads School in Santa Monica, Calif., he has been committed to Arizona since last April. One can hardly blame him though if he wants to skip town and re-open his recruitment, as the fallout for the program is sure to be devastating. |

My guess is bad things are coming for the Arizona program, so even if he wanted to stay he would probably have no choice but to go to another school so he doesn't get associated with the stink. |

I'm sure Shaq would prefer he go to LSU but he may not want to be in his Dad's shadow in that regard.
I wonder if Shaq will address this on Inside the NBA |

Not sure why he'd want that. LSU is not a winning program. They haven't been to the NCAA tournament since 2015 and haven't advanced past the second round since 2006.
Besides, Shareef grew up here in LA so I'm sure the thought of playing so close to home appealed to him when choosing Arizona. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

I'd stay away from LSU. Go to a PAC-12 school. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

I would much rather play in the SEC over the PAC12. |

I want to say yes, because I thought the requirement be that the player is 19 in the same year of the draft and is 1 year removed from graduating h.s. |

Poor guy - he seemed like he was doing it all right until this hit. Hopefully he recovers and can get back to being the solid athlete he's been thus far. |
