Saw a trade where Lakers end up with Cousins in a 3 team deal with Nuggets and Kings. I put a different twist on it in a 4 team deal.

Lakers get Cousins and trade Randle, Lou Williams, and Young. Lakers will trade their 2020 first round pick to Kings if they keep their 2017 first round pick protected 1-3. If Philly gets Lakers' 2017 first round pick, then Kings will get Lakers 2nd round picks in 2017 and 2018.
Sacramento gets Brandon Knight, Khris Middleton, and Julius Randle and ship Cousins and Rudy Gay out. They do this because Cousins has been a distraction and Rudy Gay will not resign with them. Brandon Knight would immediately be their best PG. Middleton is injured right now but would be their best wing player and he is locked up under a 4 year contract. Randle will be the starting PF. Center is also the Kings' deepest position and they can start Cauley-Stein, Koufos, Papagiannis, or Labissiere. This will likely be a losing season, which will help Kings maintain their own pick in 2017, which is protected 1-10.
Bucks receive Gay, Lou Williams, and Nick Young and subtract Monroe and Middleton. They are one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in the league and this will definitely help. Middleton is out for the season and Monroe didn't fit in with the team. This trade prepares the team to win now and provides more salary cap flexibility in future years.
Suns get Greg Monroe and send out Brandon Knight. Monroe would immediately start at C over aging Tyson Chandler and reduces team chemistry issues at PG. |
