Man, the last game of Bryant. (bleep).
Kobe will have a reverse baseline dunk out of the tripple threat in this game. Book it. |
Would love to see Kobe get a dunk or multiple dunks in the game. And no All Star BS defense (bleep) hopefully either, I hate that nonsense. |
It's happening man. With 5 minutes remaining in the first he will catch the ball in the mid post along the baseline on hayward. He will face up, jab step left launch right and reverse dunk at the baseline. |

After having his first NBA season end by being eliminated by Utah, it would be fitting if Kobe finished his last NBA season by extinguishing the playoff hopes of the Jazz. |

Kobe has an injured shoulder so he may not play much. A lot of past Lakers will show for the game. Hard to think of the Lakers without Kobe. wish he could have gone out with another Championship. |

The last time I was this emotional about a player leaving/retiring was Magic in '91. Not going to be the same watching the Lakers next season but I'm hopeful for the future. |

Someone mentioned Usenet... dang, yeah I remember those days! I actually remember LakerLanny used to be a usenet regular, too. I see him every once in a while here on LG.
Man... I was still in high school when Kobe and Shaq were signed by the Lakers. I still remember my fugly purple Kevin Garnett (there's another guy that's been around since forever) sneakers I bought and how shocked everyone was at how much Shaq had signed for.
Thanks for all the memories, Kobe. Hopefully, one era ends and a new one will begin soon. _________________ Lakers. Built different. |

I'm a bitter SOB. I'm gonna miss the entire show.
Lakers win. Book it!
Not that it would be allowed, but how cool if after the visiting teams leaves the court, Kobe is still mid center waiving to the public when the crowd storms the court. (Peacefully of course)
Then a chant breaks out into Kobe!Kobe! Kobe!
It slowly opens up as Kobe walks through the crowd and into the tunnel.. |

Oh God, alt.nba.lakers.net or something like that.
Remember the discussions and use to log on to see what new stuff was on.
When it got political with Bozak and others, that's when I started looking for a new outlet and luckily found this place in 02 and never looked back.
Farewell Kobe and I hope you have a vintage like game for one more night.
Thanks for always giving me hope for the Lakers no matter what because whenever you were on the floor, there always was chance of winning.

It's sad that Kobe couldn't have the Peyton Manning/John Elway ending. Maybe if he hadn't torn his achilles in 2013 and had signed for a contender, or if the CP3 trade hadn't been vetoed.
Still, I appreciate the fact that's he'll retire as a Laker only. _________________ RIP Kobe |

I really hope that's the case. That's a great ending and great mirroring. _________________ RIP Kobe |
