OH btw, if you want a very excellent show to watch is HBO's The Wire. I love HBO shows like Deadwood, Sopranos and Six Feet Under, but I never heard of this show recently, and I _got hooked_! I'm amazed its not more known, despite its plentiful amount of critical acclaim.

One of the best cop shows I've ever seen. The acting is so good and the writing even better. You'll both hate and love the cops and the criminals. The best part is that it takes a whole season just to finish one investigation, so there's a truly epic feel to show. Much like reading a good novel that explores characters and plot nuances that a 1 hour show can't, instead The Wire spreads it out over 12 to 13 hours. Watch all 3 seasons, I highly recommend it. Fourth season is going to show soon on HBO.

Lost is not way better than 24, I watch them both and they are both very good, but they are completely different, 24 moves at the speed of light and Lost, not so much.

Both have twists and turns and share an affinity for killing off characters.

One thing about Lost. No matter how good it is and how much you enjoy it the entire show depends on the final episode, which may or may not happen for another 3 years. My point being, if the ending sucks the entire show will have been a waste, and you all will want to hunt down someone and murder them.

24 on the other hand has an ending for every season and so far every ending has been superb. And of further note, 24 seems to have a great ending/conclusion for darn near every single one hour episode.

Ajaxxx. I'm telling you. 24 Season 1 is the thing to buy. 24 is NOT a man's show. Women love it as well. My friend (who is a girl) refrained from watching 24 for so long because of all the action and violence, and she thought it was something only men liked. But I finally convinced her to watch this season and she is absolutely addicted. That's all she wants to talk about, 24.

If your wife loves drama, action, suspense, and a killer plot with numerous twists that constantly keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat, then 24 is the way to go!! You and your wife will finish the entire season in 2 days. You won't be able to stop.

Anyone know the best and cheapest place to buy 24 seasons 1-4? I'm guessing it's normally roughly around $50 per season.
