A former fan of superstar Calvin "Snoop Dogg" Broadus is suing the rapper for $22 million in Los Angeles Superior Court, it was reported Friday.

The suit filed by Richard Monroe claims he was assaulted, humiliated and robbed after he jumped onstage during a Seattle concert last year.

Members of the rapper's entourage and security team "restrained, dragged, kicked, punched and jumped" him until he was "beaten unconscious" while the audience cheered, the suit claimed. Monroe said he was doused with liquid while Snoop performed "Gin and Juice" and further alleged his rings, diamond earrings, wallet and cell phone were all taken from him.

Although the rapper did not participate in the attack, Monroe said he shoulders the blame for failing to stop the alleged assault and for not properly training his bodyguards.

A spokesman for the rapper called Monroe's suit "an attempt to parlay criminal conduct into a financial windfall" and "a blatant abuse of the legal system."
