Hey guys, new member to LakersGround but have been lurking for a while. I can't help but be annoyed this season, where we need all the help that we can get, that somehow Luke Walton is still on the payroll.

Thus, I've dedicated my site to asking the question, why or how he is still in the NBA? Enjoy!

it's pretty simple. he has a contract.

also, it is more valuable to keep that contract for now and trade it next year than amnestying him.

+1

And if the Lakers amnesty Luke, they really don't save much and would just spend more to fill in another roster spot.

Having an expiring contract next year would be a good trade piece
