Great article... .... thanks for sharing...
.... probably the majority of fans on this board don't even know about Dancing Barry...
.... it's unfortunate the way things eventually turned out.... the fact he doesn't even root for the Lakers at all says a lot about how he feels about what ultimately transpired....
.... it was a lot of fun back then and Dancing Barry was a big part of the Show Time era.... _________________ Rule = win titles

The guy wanted $2000 and a place ticket? Also, did the Lakers give him a deal on tickets? Most fans would kill to be able to go to every game. _________________ Kobe, on the other hand; RELISHES the injuries and just looks at it as evening the playing field. |

^ I agree with you.... I think people in general tend to look at situations where they don't see the entire picture just as you've suggested... I certainly wasn't taking sides if that's what it looked like...
... I was only saying it was unfortunate that Dancing Barry held the opinion he did toward the Lakers ultimately...
... that said, I'm not intimating that Barry necessarily got screwed in any way, just that it would have been better if some level of compromise was reached which would not have led to the animus he expresses toward the franchise is all... _________________ Rule = win titles

I didn't mean to imply that I had a problem with your OP. On the contrary, I agree that it's too bad that the two parties couldn't have reached some kind of an agreement. I'll just add that Barry seems a tad off. Twice he mentioned dances that he did, the crowd cheering and then the Lakers coming back to win, as if he had a part in it.
Again, to be able to attend Laker games would be enough "payment" for me. _________________ Kobe, on the other hand; RELISHES the injuries and just looks at it as evening the playing field. |

He sounds like Shaq...a bitter ex employee who was about attention & money. I myself found Dancing Barry to be a bit lame. Laker dont need a mascot and an unofficial one who clearly lost his love over money wasnt in it for the right reasons anyway. |

So after a bitter exile, he decided to control a Lakers forum to dictate the fans?! |

They've been removed by Jim Buss. |
