If Odom ever learns how to utilize his skills he would easily be seen as a skinnier but taller Lebron James type of player minus the freakish hops. His height makes up for that allowing him to play all 5 positions. He just needs to work on his defense as well as developing an arsenal of attacks for his opposition. If he were to adjust his game to his defender, he would be unstoppable. The crazy thing with Lamar, is that it is all mental. There's not one thing physically stopping him from dominating. |
That is the Gospel Truth!
Once he has the mindset of a General (he is, of course, The Facillator) with a Star Soldier (Kobe) and a cast of willing characters, he has the skills to make the offense flow very effectively. |

afer the last utah game(when kobe was out), he said he liked battling with AK47. AK47 also said some nice things about Odom. I guess AK47 is one of those guys who odom likes to play against like Kobe when he plays against Tmac, Allen, ect. |
Lamar let the cat out of the bag in the interview after the game. He asked the babe interviewing him if they were going to play Utah again, she said no, and Lamar then said he's happy not to have to play Utah anymore. They're a tough matchup for us, and Kirilenko a very tough player to score against. I give Lamar props for that, other than we may see Utah in the playoffs with Boozer back from injury, so we obviously may still play them again. They may very well win that Northwest Division. |

except that Magic can shoot with either hands...it's not all mental, Odom has several fundamental issues to address. _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. Magic imposed his will on the opponent in "winning time" as he called it. He took over games down the stretch. He was one of the game's greatest closers... and at an early age. The difference between them certainly isn't all mental, but in the mental side of the game...man... there is a massive gap between Lamar and Magic. |

I mean some of it's him - He does roam at the perimeter for long stretches - but at times even when he's in the post the Lakers don't look to pass to him. Same with Bynum. |
1. Not good enough post passers.
2. The better post passer is Odom.
3. It's tough for Odom to initiate the offense from the backcourt, to essentially become the #1 post scoring option on offense in the same play. |
Agreed. Which shows why you've always wanted a PG to set up Odom too. |

Agree
Magic's ability to see the game before it actually happenned was incredible. You know he would hit another level in crunch time.
Magic knew how to win games. Odom is still learning and at times loses games through his mental farts. |
