I wonder if the team will know beforehand, or if they have to watch the special to find out. The latter would be pretty funny.

For the record, part of the advertisement proceeds are going to the Boys and Girls Club. So its for a good cause.

http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/67911/20100706/could_lebron_opt_to_sign_two_year_deal/

Frank Isola of the New York Daily News is reporting that there is a possibility LeBron James could sign a two-year deal with the Cavaliers this offseason.

Doing so would allow James to hit the market again in the summer of 2012 while still pledging his loyalty to Cleveland.

"Team executive hears that if LeBron re-signs with Cavs he might ink 2-yr deal and go through this madness again in 2012. Never know," Isola wrote on his Twitter page.

What a joke.

He's signing with the Cavs. Simple as that. No need for the suspense.

It would be even more lame if he announces that hes staying in Cleveland.

Seriously.

Where is this presser going to be held? Cleveland?

He wouldn't make it out of Ohio alive if he announced he's playing for Chicago in his home state.

Has any other free agent in the history of all of sports ever request a one hour special to announce their decision?

And like everyone already said, he's staying in Cleveland. No way he makes this big of a scene if he's leaving, no way.

It would be hilarious. if the team didn't know either until watching the special. They could have reaction shots from all of them...like an Oscars award presentation.

Here is his announcement

I AM STAYING WITH CLEVELAND..now see, I just saved you all an hour of your lives
LeBron is the true definition of a media whore. he was never going to leave Cleveland, he was just playing the media for the fools that they are. He has them eating out of his hand

While we're at it let's have a decision lottery for LeBron. 6 ping pong balls will bounce around until fate bumbles its way out of the machine and into LeBron's hands.

I wonder how the ratings for this will be. It can't be worse than when the Spurs swept Lebron's Cavs out of the 2007 NBA Finals...
