I was wondering if it's worth it? Justin TV isn't what it used to be. Seems like the NBA is cracking down on all those streaming links or max users have been reached in my country.

I use it to watch the Laker games the next day - you can watch live, too, evidently.
Here in Europe the games are available in the archive section the next morning and it's better than last year when you couldn' t scroll to a certain phase of the game. You can now so you are not depended anymore on a fixed programme schedule. The connection is good, so in my opinion it is definitely worth it especially with the weak dollar/ strong euro.

I think it's totally worth it. It's amazing, and this year it got better because you can watch last night's games whenever you want (last year there was a schedule, the games where looped every 3 hours or something like that).

Just take into account that there could be blackouts in your country if any TV operator has the NBA rights. 'though there are "options" to circumvent this

Yep.

I used to get cable (ESPN) which was really expensive and only a few games a week. I signed up at the start of the season and caught every Lakers game.

Worth every cent!

Yep... and the best part is you only need the proxy at login time, you can disable it later and watch the game taking advantage of your full connection at full speed.

I know. I bought the iPhone app (not an easy task, I had to buy US iTunes gift cards from a web page since I can't pay with my European credit card in my US iTunes account) and found out that my VPN doesn't work, 'cause the iPhone figures where it is using GPS/wifi/3G instead of the IP address.

I'd pay whoever fixed that (a MobileSubstrate extension that allowed setting a fake location, for example) the same amount I paid for the iPhone app, 'cause I'd love to have it working, but I haven't found anybody capable of doing it. I even asked the creator of 3G Unrestrictor.

Yes! Its fantastic, huge upgrade from last season which never worked
The video quality is great and the on demand games are really convenient as well.
No blackouts for me in australia!

Same for me. I love it. I come home from work in the morning around 9am and watch nba games all day, get barely any sleep during the day and go back to work

Edit**

Never mind. Just found out there is an App for the Android. But I don't think it'll work with the Motorola Droid.

I'm considering the $89 option which lets you choose 7 NBA teams to have
access too all season (I forget the full package price, but it's roughly the
same price they charge when I used to get it ever year on cable - in the
ballpark of $170).

I'd buy the cable version but I have Verizon FIOS, which is supposed to be
the best groundline package you can get, but has (for ALL 3 YEARS I've had
it) failed to negotiate for rights to an NBA League Pass option. In fact until
a few months ago they didn't even have NBA TV! My basic Comcast cable
back in Arizona gave me both NBA TV (free) and the choice to purchase
NBA League Pass!

I'd buy the full package of NBA League Pass (Broadband), but I found a
few issues while I used it during their free trial period (lasted until Nov.
3rd)...

1.) The streaming video quality is good, but it comes at the expense of a
lower frame rate than some lower quality feeds and most importantly (for
me at least) has alot of lagging issues).

2.) Once the video has lagged a few times, it doesn't restart at "real time,"
instead, after a few seconds of pause, it starts at the next frame - above
the video feed is a score board for the two teams - after a few lags, the
scoreboard shows points BEFORE they happen (actually as they happen,
but to you on your video feed it's before!).

3.) Even just in those few days that were offered for free, there were
multiple blacked-out games. At first, I thought "Lakers sell out on the
road all the time, no biggie!" - but during those last 3 days of the trial I
was unable to watch both a Lakers and Cavs road game due to blackout,
which worries me about how many games will actually be available this
coming season.

Due to all of the above, and especially the last item, I'm planning to soon
purchase the $89 limited version and likely follow the Lakers, Cavs, Spurs,
Celts, Magic, Nuggets, and Heat for the season, and just deal with the lags.

Just wanted to dish out what I experienced, even if I'm getting the limited
package - the thing has it's hiccups.

Thanks!

Certainly worth to try. Thus far I'm fully dependent on friendly torrent uploaders. That works great too...
