First time poster. I just wanted to shoot ya'll a link of some footage of Dwayne Mitchell when he was in college. I watched the summer league game last night, and Dwayne struggled a little bit at the lead guard spot. He is not really a 1 or 2 but more of do anything guy trapped in a 6'4" body. Albeit with a great build.

If any you guys are real summer league buffs.

The PG #5 is Orien Greene (Played with Celtics, Kings, and Pacers) on the Bobcats summer league.

#45 is Brian Hamilton on the Nets Summer League.

#1 is Tiras Wade who played with the Heat's summer league team last year.

I hope you enjoy. Dwayne is a freak of nature.

He needs to take advantage of his skills and improve his ball handlings

He has the perfect NBA body and has potential to be a steal in this draft

Well he made the big squad:

"The Lakers have yet to re-sign free agent guard Coby Karl. They also haven't signed Joe Crawford, a guard from Kentucky who was their lone draft pick in June. Last week they did sign guard Dwayne Mitchell, a free agent from Louisiana-Lafayette. "

2007-08 D-League Draft/Season Preview
November 1, 2007
Possibly the most athletic player in this pool of players, Dwayne Mitchell already has the physical attributes needed to play in the NBA. An explosive leaper in particular, Mitchell was a true stat-sheet stuffer in his senior season (2005-06) at Louisiana Lafayette, averaging 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 turnovers, and 2 steals. He was on the verge of being drafted last June, but saw most teams back off after being diagnosed (allegedly incorrectly according to his agent at the time) with a heart condition at the NBA pre-draft camp. Mitchell went to play professionally in Paris, where he had an up and down season playing for a bad team. Mitchell’s biggest hurdle will be to improve his perimeter shot, which is by far his biggest weakness. Gaining experience and improving his feel for the game would also go a long ways in helping him achieve his considerable potential.
